EZTVDroid is an Android application that list the latest TV shows from EZTV website. It can also search TV shows by show title keywords. The app can also
send the selected TV show to a uTorrent or Transmission BT running on your computer. As of the moment, uTorrent and TransmissionBT are the only client which is supported by the application. Im currently working on adding as many torrent clients as i can.
Guys, if EZTV is down for maintenance (which happen every now and then), please don’t leave a ’1 star rating’ just because it can’t contact the server and list the episodes. Thanks.

Troubleshooting:
1. Can’t save settings/ Invalid username and password
A: The app verifies the connectivity of the details you input on the settings page before saving it. Try these troubleshooting infos:
1. Verify that the you have enabled WebUI of uTorrent.
2. If you have done #1, verify if the port being used is being block by your firewall or antivirus. You have to allow or
open the this port number on your firewall.
3. Username and password must match both on settings and on webUI.

I got mine working finally! Happy! :) You will also have to add something to your router. At least I got help doing that with it not working before I did that.
On my router it looks like this:
(My setup is in Norwegian. Don’t know how I would translate the heading,- something to do with ports at least..)

Also, I added my ipconfig-ip to a field called DMZ-host
Because I’m at work and not at home trying to download torrents via the app, in the settings in the app I input the IP-address from i.e. whatismyip.com instead of my Ip-address displaying when I run an ipconfig-command.

I am having same issue as skalisko, the add a client for does not accept my input. I am trying to use transmission. I enter all my details, which work in v 1 of your client
V1 worked really well but no long works with the site. Any help is appreciated!

But how do i configure the utorrent to automaticaly start the torrent on my computer, it asks for the name, ip, port, username, password!!! Where do i find this information to input, so my computers utorrent program will start downloading it.

If you have dynamic ip, you have to setup your router to use dyndns.Org or similar services. If you have a static ip then you just use your outside ip. You can find your outside ip by visiting http://www.whatismyip.org or similar website.
i am also trying to get it over 3g and have tried both i can get it only local please provide step by step when you have time
I downloaded to Thunderbolt from the Marketplace. It lists ‘Latest’ shows, but doesn’t do anything if I select the show (by touching it). How do I make it work? Thanks for your help.
You can long press on the list then a menu should come up.
would it be possible to have you account integrated into the app so it will only show the tv programs i watch

Odd, I can’t seem to save my settings on my Nexus S. I have it all set up fine on my Xoom, but it won’t save on my Nexus. I’ve clicked menu > save but then when I try to download, doesn’t recognize any torrent clients…
Was it successful to verify when you save the connection?
It doesn’t say. I just clicked on ‘save’ and it doesn’t do anything…
I can’t save the torrent client settings, there is no “ok” or “submit” button. HTC sensation.

Utorrent 3.xx is now fully supported.
Works great for seeing TV show listings, but when pointed at utorrent 3.0 x64 beta, i get constant timeouts. I’ve tried setting up firewall forwarding, disabling firewall, connecting on my lan, over 3g, over 4g, nothing works, get nothing but timeout messages.

A request: option to set the download limit.

Great idea for an app but I have a request.
I have uTorrent 3.0 so as of right now I can’t link the app to download. Would it be a lot of work to add “copy URL link” as an option for each posting. This would give a secondary (longer but surefire) way of getting the download. Thanks for your consideration.

I have the same problem. Website is fine mit eztvdroid lists not all shows from the website, huge chunks are not displayed.
this app is awesome, i use the eztv website to track and watch all of my shows with a HUGE list of favorites, it would be nice if this app would log into my eztv web account so i wont have to re-set all of my favorites manually.
Can eztvdroid work over a self signed SSL cert?

Yes, im using dydns.org for my router. Also make sure you port forward the port to your computera IP so it will work
havent been able to connect this to utorrent since upgrading to utorrent 3.0, im guessing its due to 3.0 being in beta, but figured i give u a head ups

works well with wifi… but i can’t get it to load utorrent over 3g… any tips?
i will increase the connection timeout on the next update. sometimes it takes longer to send the torrent file to the client using 3G, which causes the app to ‘not wait’.
Great app, but having trouble getting ‘send to utorrent’ working. I can see active torrents so I know connection is fine, but creating new torrents is not working.
Running 1.05d and latest utorrent client on windows 7. Also tried running utorrent as administrator but still no luck. Any suggestions?

using wifi – got it working. It turned out to be corruption in router. Cold reboot fixed router and working OK.
FYI. tried listing episodes for V (2009) and returned no listings. Web site showed full list so i suspect there is a bug in the search parameters. Other programs seem to work fine
Yea i notice also that there is a bug on the search episode list for some shows. Ill look into it though.
followed the instructions, including creating an exception in my firewall for the port, and it still won’t connect. i can see Latest and Shows but when clicking Downloads it attempts to connect and then says “network timeout” asking me to make sure the host and port are correct and that the port isn’t being blocked by my firewall.
i’ve verified my IP 3 times and made sure that both it and the port are entered correctly while also checking to make sure that the exception i created in my firewall was for the correct port. everything looks right.
the only weird thing i can spot is that it looks like utorrent isn’t storing the entered password. the number of *’s don’t correspond to the number of characters i entered.
any ideas?

I’m in the same boat, I’ve been trying for weeks to get it to work, no dice. I set up a DNS with DynDNS.org, and I can connect to the server just fine elsewhere, but not using this program. Does it even support DNS?
@tylerdurden if you say ‘utorrent’ do you mean on the app settings for utorrent? maybe i should change the password field to a normal textbox so you guys could see the password or something.

Using the latest from the Market … listings are failing to retrieve. I love this App. Show Listings, send to transmission, monitor transmission … “Excellent”. I installed Transmission on my QNAP NAS just for this app.

Hi, I havent updated the app for a while. Maybe EZTV was in maintenance when you are experiencing failure to retrieve listings. Are you still having errors now?
List is updating atm, but cant send any torrent to utorrent
I’d like support for local torrent client. I use tTorrent, so i’d only need to launch the torrent to add it. Should be simple enough to implement.

What I need from your next version is not a new client, but the ability to configure and use multiple hosts (a la Transdroid). Connecting to uTorrent WebUI when connected to my local network and via public internet cannot be the same address, even though they are the same host.

I’ve followed the setup instructions for uTorrent. But I am unable to select any torrents. I can search, pull up the list, etc., but when I try to select anything, I get no response. I have double-checked my settings and the app (on a Nexus One) matches the client. It doesn’t matter whether I turn off the web UI or not. EZTVDroid updated this morning but today was the first time I did the setup so I don’t know how it performed prior to today.

Shows a-z stops at letter ‘h’ and reload just adds the same on to the end of the list again tho… :(

It’s on the WebUI under preference tab for uTorrent, you have to enable it.
Is there a users forum where dummies, like me, can have their hands held and be told everything is going to be OK?

I have not been able to figure out how to get it to work over 3G? Also can you have two phones in the same house downloading to the same computer with this app?
if you are connecting outside your LAN and you have fast data connection, it shouldnt be a problem as long as you have setup your router to forward the ports you are using on your torrent client. Ill post some details on this soon. regarding to phones, no problem at all.
Please support deluge torrent client, or open source the code so we can submit patches!

So, great app, worked awesome for a few days on my Droid 2. New version updates, and I can’t get it configured. Username/Password? Is this the UN/PW of the computer, or the Web UI of utorrent? Port? As in, the port listed on Web UI, or the port Connections “Port used for incoming connections”. Anyways, hope I can get this figured out, after only a few days with this app, I’m addicted to this functionality. Thanks!
currently, there is a bug that after setting the values and sending file to utorrent fails. if this happens, just restart the app. i will post update soon with transmission support.
I’m running the linux bittorrent server from uTorrent. The /gui/&token….add-url&s=httpblahblah http get call is getting HTTP error 400 — invalid request. The primary difference in the url using chrome vs the eztvdroid app seems to be /’s getting escaped as %2F (on droid) and eztvdroid is leaving off the t= time param — which shouldn’t be required.

Hmm… seems clicking on Menu > Save wasn’t working. Restarted it, re-entered the settings, and hit ‘Back’ instead, voila, now it works.

Yes as long as you have data connection it will work, Regarding WAN access, you might want to try to forward the port being used on your router.

I’ve managed to login and verify, can see torrents downloading when started on PC but when I search for a torrent and ‘send to uTorrent’ it doesn’t work?

A feature to add other torrents from non EZTV sources would be good too.
Sometimes it takes a few seconds for torrent to load the file, or try restarting the app
Please add azureus/vuze support unencrypted support shouldn’t be too hard it would just need to forward the url to IP:PORT/index.tmpl?d=u&upurl=TORRENTURL.torrent
For some reason pressing “Send to utorrent” does nothing for me.
It says “working, please wait” for about 30 miliseconds then it goes away, nothing happens. This happens with uTorrent 2.0.4 build 22150
It displays torrents fine, I can manipulate them, but nothing when adding them.
